Van Banger Racing is run similar to a normal Banger race, with the only difference being the use of vans, not cars.

In years gone by you would find the Van Bangers split in to two different categories, Big Van Bangers and Small Van Bangers (car/derived van), but nowadays they tend to go for the 'all in' option for the 'Delivery Drivers Championship'.

The most popular choice of vehicle being the Ford Transit, with the LDV/Sherpa coming a close second.

Not as easy to find and transport as a standard car, this is where the Van Bangers suffer in grid numbers, although it is not uncommon to get a field of 25 vans in one race, which can be very entertaining!

Over the years there have been many unusual and wacky vans used. Everything from ice cream vans, complete with chimes, to armoured security vans!
