I have stumbled upon your website whilst browsing the internet and don't quite understand what a "Rookie" or "National" Banger is?
Ok, not a problem. In the sidebar to the left of this page there is a link titled 'Banger Racing', follow this link to find out a bit more about our beloved sport.

I would like to rent a Rookie Banger or National Banger, how do I go about it?
Simple! Visit our fixtures page, select the meeting you wish to do and call us on 07976 904560, or just email us.

Do you supply overalls or do I need to bring my own?
Yes! We supply all the safety equipment and clothing required under the rules set out by the racing promoter. These include flameproof overalls, gloves, British standard crash helmet, harness and fire extinguisher.

What happens if I have an accident, am I covered by insurance?
Yes! When you take out a licence with the promoter (day or season) you are required to sign a medical form and an insurance form. The promoter covers you for racing accidents upon there premises. Cecil's Rent A Rookie does not offer additional insurance.

I see you mainly supply cars at Arlington and Wimbledon, are you able to rent cars at any other tracks?
Yes! We often rent cars out for the other Spedeworth tracks, Bovingdon and Ipswich. We are also quite happy to discuss taking cars to any other tracks, just telephone us with your requirements.

Can I choose the type of car I race and the colour it is painted?
Yes, normally. We always try to supply the requested car for our drivers but sometimes it just can't be done, for instance, one week we may have loads of Astra's but the next we may not get any in. We will always notify you of any problems. You can have any paint design you require, just as long as you let us know well in advance so we have plenty of time.

It's my son's birthday next month and I would love to give him a go in one of your Rent -A- Rookies, do you offer any kind of gift voucher or anything?
Yes! We are now offering Rent -A- Rookie gift vouchers for use with a (Rookie) Banger or National Banger rental (you must specify at time of ordering). These can be ordered direct from Cecil, please visit the gift voucher page for more details.

I am the owner of a local company and would like to treat my staff to a night out Banger Racing for our Christmas party, are you able to supply, say, 10+ cars for us?
Yes! We can arrange party bookings and corporate race days for pretty much any number of drivers. Just contact us with your requirements and we will be happy to discuss the options.
